Tom learned the basics from other painting contractors working throughout northern NJ. He went into business in 1984 starting out in Livingston. Attended trade school at the US School of Professional Paperhanging in Rutland, VT in 1986. At the time this was the only accredited trade school in the country for wallcovering installation offering professional certification. Tom also attended Day Studio for specialty finishes in San Francisco in 1988. The Day Studio focuses on developing skills in Marbling, wall glazing, gilding, and color mixing. He has been used by many of the areas finest interior designers. He moved to Mendham, NJ in 1990. He has participated in many of the designer show houses in the area and was a regular at the Mansion in May throughout the 90's. Attended Dundean Studios in Chatham, NJ in 2000 for Venetian plaster artisans.
